You’ve seen the TV Show Cheers, right? I love the show and I love the characters. As most of you know, the “Cheers” from the show is in Boston. But today, we’re sharing a place here on Ramona Revealed that isn’t known for some classic characters like Sam, Norm or Carla….but for the BEST Cheeseburger in San Diego! We’re going down to the classiest dive bar in Ramona, we’re going to Cheers of Ramona! This really is the place where you can find great food, great music, great drinks, and one of my favorites, FREE POOL!
When the current owners Matt and Michelle Rains went on their first date, they went to Cheers for drinks and to play free pool. They loved the warm and friendly atmosphere, and then later when they got the opportunity to buy it, they did! Because Cheers was a staple of the community, and everyone knew it, they decided to keep the name. One of the things they loveed about it was how warm and friendly it was then, and they wanted to keep it that way.
Their Facebook page is a great and fun place to see what’s on the menu, as well as their special theme nights. Like Steak Night, which features a ribeye steak, baked potato, and a side salad for just ten dollars, or Taco Tuesday where you can get one dollar tacos and a happy hour every Friday until 6!
Behind the bar, you’ll find Sam, I mean Garrett who makes the most delicious cocktail….the one with blueberry moonshine from local distillery…..OMG! It’s the definition of refreshing and tasty.
So come down to the classiest Dive Bar in Ramona, and grab a burger! I promise, you’ll be glad you did!
